Shit, dude, I feel woozy after a 20 hour streak. Twice that is beyond me.
He raised £18 for breast cancer while playing for 35 hours?!
This is terrible for your body
Pretty sure there was a case where some Starcraft player died after starting a 50 hour session. This type of thing just isn't good for anyone, killing yourself for charity isn't worth it.
what are the rules? like are you allowed to go to toilet?

can you eat??
Staying awake for 40 hours focusing on a single thing, even if it is a video-game, is actually more than possible with the right lifestyle. If you have a consistent sleep cycle and solid diet, staying up for 24 hours straight is actually really easy even if you don't fully plan out a proper meal schedule that will keep your energy levels up. It isn't something that should happen on a remotely regular basis obviously, but a one off with proper prep and 40 hours isn't really far fetched at all.
Most people just binge on shit food and "energy products" and start feeling like shit 18 hours in after sleeping for 12 hours the previous night.

Properly asessed marathon things like this often give you set time breaks pretty frequently that they subtract from your end time.
