now if only porsche would get out of that deal with EA, then we can finally start seeing their cars in proper racing game
I want another NFS Porsche style game, I want to drive the Posrche 356 again.... that was such a beautiful car.
EA, you can keep your porches.
EA, you can keep your porches.
Are you insane? This is excellent news.
Forza should've had porsches from the beginning. It's not a proper racing game without them.
Are you insane? This is excellent news.
Ok, ok, despite my dislike of Porches, this is a good dlc. 30 cars, none of this 5 cars a month crap.

meh, porsches they're all the same
Too late. Lobbies still broke. Not worth the £10 this will likely be.
meh, porsches they're all the same
what about the cayenne and panamera?
Too late. Lobbies still broke. Not worth the £10 this will likely be.
The next update is fixing the broken lobbies - the update was supposed to come out today, though it was delayed.
yay porsches let there be 917
Must be hard work editing the car models they already have and replacing the "RUF" logo with the proper one. $15 please.
Must be hard work editing the car models they already have and replacing the "RUF" logo with the proper one. $15 please.
You have no experience with putting cars in Forza 4, how can you say that doing just what you described isn't hard? besides, they are making the models higher quality, so it's not just copy-paste. And plus, they wouldn't be rebadging any cars, RUF puts bodykits on the cars they tune, and porsche doesn't apply those to thier own cars.

But... whether they're in the game or not, they'll have high poly versions of every car they've put in the game. Having identical chassis and bodywork to their Porsche counterparts will sure make their job easier.

Pretty much all the cars are just laser scanned and created- they don't actually do any modelling.
I don't think they do much work.
Must be hard work editing the car models they already have and replacing the "RUF" logo with the proper one. $15 please.
The RUF models are all based on one year (2011?) of the Porsche 911 Turbo, with slightly different bumpers and with RUF badges plastered on it. The other Porsches like the 944, 914, Panamera, Boxter, et cetera, all have to be manually created or updated from FM3. Pretty much all the cars are just laser scanned and created- they don't actually do any modelling.
Some cars are not scanned, but instead built using dozens of high resolution pictures of the car; it's used mostly on cars not available in America (or extremely rare cars), like the TVRs and the old Nissan Skylines. [editline]6th March 2012[/editline] Additionally, they run the cars on dynos, and have a large rig with dozens of microphones set up to record the noise of the car from dozens of different points. Each microphone is manually adjusted for the best sound recording, then compiled on the computer.
