• How are the plastics for a computer case made?

Take for instance, the front of this HP case: [img]http://www.productwiki.com/upload/images/hp_pavilion_elite_hpe_120f.jpg[/img] How is this created? It seems too smooth to be cut out or drilled out.
Cut? Drilled? ever heard of a mold?
The same way any other plastic thing is made.
It's all in the plastic. What you're looking at is probably some kind of hard plastic.
It's a whole bunch of different pieces assembled together and polished at the end.
Probably like any other plastic, i would imagine they are all made the same, save for a few steps. Melt down Pour* the plastic into a mold Take out of mold once hardened Sand down Polish Some might be different, this is obviously polished, but maybe for some molds they leave the mold as-is, to give it texture or whatever.
