Keyboard not working on startup.

Hey you's.

So, either my keyboard or my mouse doesn't work when I enter the bootmenu.

By bootmenu I mean:
Windows XP
Windows XP
Windows XP installation*

And then here's the 5second timer, if the time runs out, it will choose the default* option.

Now, how can I get my keyboard to work at this point? If I enter the default one, my PC won't start up for some reason, so I gotta choose the 2 of above. But how?

Why does keyboard and mouse stop working only for the bootmenu? Stupid ass Bill Gates.

Try unplugging it and plugging it back it! Worked for me when I have this problem...

Try connecting with a PS/2 adapter, It worked for me on my old computer
