I built my computer about 3 years ago and I want an upgrade this Christmas. I really don't know what needs to be upgraded, so I would be grateful if somebody could tell me what they think I should upgrade and what areas are ok. I don't need any peripherals or an OS, I just want to know what should be upgraded and with what.
-Around $350 on the budget
-It is mainly a gaming rig. I want to be able to run the newest games on high.
-I am currently running Vista, but I have a free copy of 7 I can upgrade to.
-I live in the US so newegg.com is probably my best bet.
-My monitor's resolution is 1600x900.
-I would like to upgrade/add to my H.D.D. I'm running out of space, so would it be possible to simply add another drive?

Is the RAM DDR2 or DDR3?

Your best best to do with the remaining $75 is to save it up and upgrade the video card later on, if you're willing to turn a few settings down in the meantime.
So you would recommend adding that RAM to my current RAM?
I'm recommending it because the mobo I picked doesn't support your DDR2 RAM. Effectively means you can't use your current RAM with the new mobo.
You don't think I'd need more than 4gb of memory?
Also, another thing I'd like to state is that I would like to add/upgrade my H.D.D. I'm slowly running out of space. I'll add this to the O.P.
