My old shitty phone has died off recently and my contract just ended with MTS (I live in Manitoba, Canada). I was interested in the iPhone 4 but it might take a few weeks to get one seeing as they are constantly out of stock in all the Rogers stores in Winnipeg. I love my iPod Touch so I figured the iPhone would be great cause I can use it as a Mp3 player and all that but with calling and texting.
Looking around on the MTS and Rogers websites, they have some cool looking phones, but I'm not sure which are really good. I'm watching reviews on a few of them but I would still like some outside advice.

If you guys can help me out here, I'd really appreciate it.
If you already have an iPod Touch, there's no point in getting an iPhone, if you ask me.
HTC Desire.
Galaxy S is the best Android on the market currently and is about £50 more than the HTC Desire

Depends if he wants everything in a single device or not.
SE Xperia x10 is pretty good, but it's bad as for specs
HTC Desire.
Neither Rogers or MTS carry this as far as I can see.

Rogers is going to be getting this one eventually, but I need a phone now.

It would be nice to have it all in one device, but I don't think I have the patience to wait for the iPhone.

This looks like an alright phone.
Rogers carries the HTC Magic+ which according to the reviews is a pretty good phone, what are you guys' thoughts on it?

Hold your horses and wait for the Nokia N8 to be released... Sept 23rd IIRC
Nokia E90
HTC Desire.
This, or iPhone.
Yes, I have had them both.
If you do get the iPhone get It with Rogers as they have edge behind the 3G. I have tells in Canada and I'm limited to 3G and sometimes my texts are delayed.
Depends on what plan you are gonna get. Each plan has different phones.

I'm on sprint and i've been using the LG Rumor for almost 4 years. This phone could last the apocolypse and then some.
If you have an iPod touch get a Yoision Apple Peel 520. It turns your iPod in to a phone.
Telus carries the HTC Desire
go for the htc desire best phone by far
Get the Desire or something in the Galaxy S family.
Why are you so damn impatient to get a phone?

I just dislike not being able to text my friends. It's unhealthy really.
Just be patient and wait until the Galaxy S comes out. It would be better in the long run than getting a phone because it's the only one available.
oh having gay kodi ruining it will all the girls

I'm going to just go to Rogers tomorrow and see if I can get a phone and then upgrade to the Galaxy S or the Nokia N8 when they pick those up. Thanks for the replies to far.
Telus - HTC Desire
Bell - Samsung Galaxy S

Telus doesn't have the Desire in my province. The only HTC phones they have are the HTC Touch Pro 7279 and the HTC SNAP.
Bell doesn't even have phones in my province from the looks of it.

The site doesn't talk about compatibility though
Thoughts on the Droid and Droid 2?
Thoughts on the Droid and Droid 2?
Not that great.
Given your options, I'd just go with an iPhone.

They are great.
