I was tidying my room, saw some dust and stuff on the left ear and decided to hoover it lightly. Since then the sound seems to be only coming out from the right ear. There is still sound coming from the left but only faintly. My headset is a Gamecom 367
You really should clean your ears if there's sound coming from them. If it doesn't stop, go see a doctor.
That was helpful. My headset you ass. [editline]05:25PM[/editline] I've temporarily fixed it by setting the volume of the left ear higher than the right, but the sound quality is pretty poor because of it.
You said your ear, headsets don't have ears.
Stop being assholes You've probably disconnected a wire inside, take it apart and make sure the wire are firmly in place and shit.
Or it's broken...
Make sure that it is plugged in all the way.
It's broken. Throw that fucker out and buy a new one. I've tried to save them before with a soldering iron and spare wire, but it did not work out.
You said your ear, headsets don't have ears.
hurr so as said before, it's probably broken. You might be able to fix it if it's only a wire that is disconnected but it does not always work out properly. Usually when one of my headphones die, I just have to buy a complete new one. It just happens.
You could have broken a wire or turned the speaker cone inside out/ripped it. Its fucked annyway so you might as wel open it up and see if it is fixable. I have saved many headsets and headphones by just soldering the wires back on. My px100 is on its 5th jackplug atm.
Why would you hoover your ear
Plug it into something else and see if it works (don't lie, we know you didn't try it), if it doesn't then keep reading. Here is how to find out if you broke it: 1. Set all volume knobs to max. 2. Find a multimeter, set it to measure resistance(Ω). 3. Look at this, the connector to the left is yours (the one that is clearly marked as being for the headset). 4. Measure the resistance from the top contact to the bottom contact, and measure the resistance from the middle contact to the bottom contact. If they are different, this means that you broke it. Here is what you can do about it: A. Buy a new one. B. Attempt to repair it, and probably fail miserably. C. Make a thread in Technical Support, and be insulted. D. C,D,A in that order.
