I've heard that this mod is pretty terrible. They removed features from the original game like the umbrella weapon, they shortened a lot of areas, the gameplay is clunky. It's essentially the same as the original except everything is worse. Just play the original mod.
Weren't the original They Hunger team going to release a standalone source engine remaster as a retail game a long-ass time ago and it just kinda quietly evaporated, or am I making up childhood memories again?
