So far, 2-3 countries governments have been over thrown in the Arab section of the world (this does include some parts of North Africa) The president of Lybia has already killed est. 700,000 people to prevent protest. If you have been watching the news, you'll know more about this conflict. My thoughts are that in portugal and spain their Economy is failing, as soon as they hit Bankruptcy.. the events in the arab world will repeat. i think the countries are striving towards a Democracy government, in hopes of a better life and economy. Share your Thoughts on what we should do, or what you think is gonna happen.
There is going to be violence and hardship, followed by long periods of political turmoil and uncertainty, but I see it as generally a good thing. Even if they cut off our oil supply, we'll be forced to quickly implement long-awaited alternatives.

I don't believe so. Though, we did develop a new drilling technology that made previously discovered deposits reachable. Still, the Middle East will have a far bigger impact.
