I'm not the only one that hates this shit right? You spend time making a medieval setting and the player immerses himself in it, only for it to be ruined by stupid glittering walls or various white/grey polygons floating about. AssCreed was worst in this regard.
I thought this was supposed to be Capcom's response to Dark Souls.

We don't even know yet why they have medieval tech, but I for one am very interested in finding out
A bit of a bummer imo, I was hoping this would be a spiritual successor to Dragon's Dogma or at least something along the lines of it. The whole generated dungeon/enemy tech still sounds interesting (if it actually works properly and makes a difference while playing) but the whole future scifi memories backstory doesn't sound really appealing at this point

I guess this allows for far more creative freedom. I always said if I was to create my perfect RPG game it would take place in the future, but because of the early discovery of alchemical, biological, physics, etc, all because of Arcane findings and development would create an interesting world, one that guns aren't required and would have never been invented.
looks like grimrock
that trailer sure is neat
Looks like something bad happen, apocalypse? and mankind lost all technology only to start again if it were to take place in 2094.
I hope it's not actually a simulation or time travel or anything and just a case of the world being so incredibly fucked in 2094 that we went back to the dark ages more or less.
I'm loving how it looks so far! Also, does anyone else think there might be some major thing behind the guy saying "free me or just bloody end it"? I'm thinking that some people might be getting stuck in that place when trying to read/ analyze the memories.
AssCreed was worst in this regard.
I agree on a basic level but Assassin's Creed handled it pretty well in my opinion, at least they did a good job with integrating the Animus and the modern day much more meaningfully into the game in Assassin's Creed 2 and thankfully understood to not constantly hop between modern day and the historical setting. My favorite example of this setting type done right is Nier.
I thought this was supposed to be Capcom's response to Dark Souls.
It appears to be a mix of Demon Souls and Assassin's Creed. Seeing as Sony actually owns the Demon Souls IP this could be what Demon Souls turned into and was outsourced to Capcom. Personally I hope that Deep Down is not replacing Demon Souls as having both on the PS4 as exclusives would be awesome.
