I tried installing hackintosh (hurrr macs, shut up I wanted to try it) on a partition of my 1 tb hard drive, but as I found out, I had to convert the partition to a mac readable type.
So I tried that. And the next thing I know, my hard drive was erased off the list.
I rebooted into my Windows 7 partition to find that my hard drive vanished.
But I noticed one thing, I usually download stuff to my 1 tb drive, and uTorrent is telling me everything is there, where if it were deleted it would give me a red icon with a ! in it, but I can't access it, as "Open" and "Open containing folder" brings me to My Documents.
And then theres this

Disk 1 is the 1 tb hard drive. Are my files still there but inaccessible or are they permanently erased?
If they're just inaccessable, is there any way of accessing it?
Sorry for my grammar, I'm a little upset right now.
It all depends upon what format it formatted it with. If you're still on NTFS you *may* be able to rollback a format. However, I think what the real case is, is that it used the Macintosh Journaled format. You're fucked.
Well, I didn't actually partition it.
I was trying to partition it to Macintosh Journaled, but it didn't let me. So I (stupidly) went to the erase tab and tried erasing the hackintosh partition I made.
But then it gave me a error, and it erased the hard drive from the list.
Hmmm. Mount the drive and see if you can find a utility online that will let you read from the drive. Recuva is good for recovering deleted files, I don't think it works for entire partitions though. :P. Google around.

I hope that means my stuff will come back.
Atleast some of it.
Gotta have hope :)
Since literally nothing has been erased, TestDisk will work fine. No need for very lengthy procedures.
So I tried that,

But it seems to be stuck after I pressed enter. Should I wait?

And yes, everything IS still there.

Okay, literally no idea what to do, help?
Everything is back!
