My new build, having increasing USB overload issues from controller

Specs:
GPU: 2x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 Overclocked 4GB, SLI
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
PSU: XFX 850W Core Edition
Mobo: ASUS Z97-PRO
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GBx2
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
SSD: Crucial MX100 128GB
I'm using flight simulator peripherals and now I'm getting USB overloads from one single controller, the rudder pedals. Powered USB 2.0 hub or no, it's started overloading consistently. I would normally write it off as a defective controller or something, but they've worked fine until now. This is a brand new build I put together, so I'm wondering if the PSU is underpowered and even small usage from the USB ports is sending the USB controller over the limit?? My keyboard, mouse, TrackIR, and HOTAS setup all work. It's confusing me how this issue is just now appearing 2 weeks in, instead of immediately. The rudder pedals still work on other devices.
Included all specs of the build, in case anyone has suggestions on improvements. I'm still new to PC building.

That's strange. The PSU should still be plenty for you. Does it overload when that (and kb/m) is the only thing plugged in?

It's to the point where I can disconnect everything including keyboard and mouse and the instant I plug it in, the PC crashes to the ASUS USB overload protection screen.

And just to verify, it does not do this on other computers? Have you tried multiple ports on your computer?

Just to verify again, I just tried on my other PC and now that one can't even detect it. It appears the pedals have been fried... What a shame. Would this be the fault of the pedals? They've worked fine for a few months, until being used on this computer. They were still detectable and working on the other computer up until this last try.

I'd blame the pedals if none of your other devices have been affected.

The pedals have poor timing with their death, but I think you're right. Thank ya!
