How to get steam to work at school behind a firewall? - General

Steam can't connect at school due to their dumb firewall. Is there a program that I can install so that it will? If someone could tell me how to set up my own proxy server at home that I could connect to it would be great as well. Some people already told me sockscap, but that doesn't run on a 64-bit OS. I'll be using my laptop so I can install whatever program I want, so don't worry about that. [highlight]HEY DUMBFUCKS, DON'T POST IF YOU CAN'T HELP. Here's one: Playing in school is a fucking waste of time. Do it at home.

Even if you manage to make a portable Steam installation, most school computers suck.

I used to play CS Portable 1.6. It's reasonable quality and you get what you see and expect
