• Best RAM kits to achieve 32GB?

G'day gents, I'm looking to up my system memory from 8GB to 32GB in the near future, and was wondering what would be the best RAM kits to use. I was originally going to only go up to 16GB for use in rendering, compiling, RAM-heavy apps and such, but a friend of mine showed off the use of RAMDisk to load programs directly onto the RAM and use the ridiculous transfer rates to really speed up programs heavy in saving and loading. Thus, I decided I may as well go on up to 32GB and utilize that for myself, and future-proof my RAM for the next few years in the process. Anyways, does anyone know the best kits on the market right now while still being on the reasonable end of the scale pricewise? I'm thinking 4x8GB, so dual-channel I suppose? I'm in the UK so we're working GBP here :) Thanks for any help.
I would like to know your motherboard model, because 4 slots of RAM does not always mean 32GB maximum.
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8P67_PRO [editline]28th March 2013[/editline] Apparently supports up to 32GB.
I found these : Corsair XMS3 4 x 8 Go DDR3 PC12800 CAS 11 It's a french website, but I'm lost about finding good UK stores.

Thoughts?
The Vengance one sounds better, I actually found this on the store, but it was 8 Ram DIMMs sadly.
Yeah I agree. Anyone else's thoughts? :)
Don't get regular vengeance, the heatsinks are retardedly tall. Get low profile vengeance if you can, or a gskill Ares kit.
i don't suppose you'd have a link for that vengeance but low profile then? [editline]28th March 2013[/editline] i can't find it anywhere

i5-2500k [editline]28th March 2013[/editline]
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Memory-Module/dp/B008E3M4TU/ Should be what you're looking for.
that's 1600mhz, it's different to the other, and 32gb of that would also be more expensive :/ I'm sure my system will be able to accommodate the larger sized RAM anyways.
Word of warning: RAM prices are starting to go through the roof, and fast. See here for an analysis (in USD): http://pcpartpicker.com/blog/ram-price-increasing
thanks, i'm happy enough with the price for that vengeance i posted from dabs.com so I'll likely buy that tomorrow thanks for the help all!

See here for an analysis (in USD): http://pcpartpicker.com/blog/ram-price-increasing
Camelegg.com is a good way to see price trends on individual products. http://camelegg.com/ Here's an example of some G.SKILL RAM, which has gone up sharply, but isn't where it was last year: RAM prices are cyclical, they'll go up and down over time. It's been a roller coaster over the past 3-4 years of going between $40 and $120 for your average RAM kit. We're just in another one of those rises, which could be because they're ramping up production of DDR4 modules and lost some DDR3 capacity.

Whoops, I meant 2011 :v:
