• Decorating a Dormitory Room?
    6 replies, posted
So I'm moving into a college dorm room in the fall, and I was wondering what sort of items/furniture I could put in it to make it feel less like a big sterile concrete box with beds in it. Feel free to post pictures of neat/cool/wacky furniture, and possibly where to get it? I'm kind of open for anything when it comes to style, I just want my room in particular to stand out and not just be terrible Here's a floorplan if you are of the technical sort: [T]https://www2.piedmont.edu/pc/images/stories/purcell_floorplans_2.jpg[/T]

Build a meth lab in your dorm to take up room and make sweet cash.
Smear the walls with shit.
I just moved out of mine. Get a rug/carpet, makes the ground not cold and reduces echo. Might want a vacuum. Get a 2 person couch. Makes it feel homey, easy to crash on if you don't want to fuck up your bed/take a nap. Don't buy single person fold up chairs, you cant make out on them. Posters are bad since you can't hang them in the room (nails=room damage) and taping them fucks up the posters. Taped hooks are also weak. Musical instrument that others can play. Theramin, keyboard piano, guitars (very common) are ok. Wall decorations that reduce echo. Flags, banners, anything cloth works well. Lava lamp is cool, but a cloud chamber is even cooler.
