So I've decided to save up for a desktop pc, and I've found a good PC that appeals to me. However, I'm a bit unsure about the graphics card. Would a NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 manage Left 4 Dead 2? Nonetheless, GTA IV? I have a lot of games on my steam and some run like ass. Also, if it helps, the PC: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227267
Yeah why not, seems to be quite powerful.
Isn't that close to a 9800GT or something? I have a 9800GTX+ and it maxes out L4D2 and does reasonably well on medium settings in GTAIV. Either way I wouldn't worry about it, it's a decent enough card especially for L4D2
you're thinking of a gts 250, gt 220 is about.. a 9600/3870
Yep, but it's still more than enough to handle L4D2. Anything Source based can run without a hitch on any card from the past 3-4 years.
Hell, I maxed out source on my old X800XT.
Build it yourself. For that money you can do better.
Build it yourself.

Hell my 8400(Can't afford a new GPU) can run it fine with models on high and effects and shaders on medium
My friend has a Nvidia 7600GT and it runs Left 4 Dead and Source games... I think GTA4 might be a bit too demanding for your card, may be wrong though.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Well, I was thinking of building my own rig, but I have no knowledge on it. And if I needa make change to the computer, I could probably just get a new GFX card or buy some more RAM, or get a new CPU. I'm pretty sure most of it isn't integrated. I'm stuck with integrated shit in my laptop. :downs:

Also, you are wasting money somewhere If you don't build yourself.
Don't get a 220GT it really sucks ass... My friend got it..
isn't L4D2 more CPU demanding? or did they tell me wrong?

You don't need knowledge to use a walkthrough, just do what the tutorial tells you to do.
OP, you could get a lot better graphics card for that price. As far as i know the GT240 is somewhere between 9600GT and 8800/9800GT, so the 220 is probably more of a low-mid end card. [editline]02:58PM[/editline] Yup, now i've read some reviews and it's worse than a 4670 and about as good as 9500GT. Get something better if possible.
GTA4 is so god damn buggy it's really hit or miss if it'll run well on a computer or not. You'll be able to run Left 4 Dead 2 just fine, though.
