One of my college classes is making a film (30min-1 hour) and we need to buy a video camera out of the class budget. Our budget is $1200 for the entire movie, but the rest of our movie is relatively low budget . Unfortunately we are biology students not film students and are a bit unsure what camera would be best for the project. Some people have suggested Flip video cameras, but have not decided yet. So if anyone has any experience/advice please let me know.
TL,DR: Anyone know of a good video camera that is relatively low cost?
Also I was not sure in which section this should go in so if I posted in the wrong one please move it.
Any ideas? I could really use some advice our budget is due in two days.
