If they don't want the guys that made their engine showing them up, maybe they should step up their game and stop buying assets for their game from the UE asset store
I can understand from this interview more clearly their intentions and how it's an actual issue within marketing
If I was to give a tl;dr
They don't care about it being a battle royal, but that how Epic may have, without thinking about it, made some players think bluehole (or pubg) was directly related to Fortnite.
I haven't bothered to look at Epic's game though, the article refers to usage of the PUBG brand in Epic's press media

Lord knows they've made boatloads at this point. This honestly kind of feels like a mod developer on Source getting mad at Valve for using a game-type from the mod into their own game and saying "hey we got this from Mod X!"

In my mind, valve would just hire the dude and then publish it as a game
