I dont know is this is a Windows problem or a Linux problem but it has to do with my windows drive so...here we go. I have 3 hd's and 1 is for storage and the other two hold linux mint and windows 7. I resized my windows partition by accident in linux and now i can't boot into windows.....so fuck. then i try to boot into linux.....fuck i cant boot into either. So now im using a live cd to try to fix this. Only two things I found out. 1. Linux's files are still there. 2. Linux says the Windows drive does not have a valid ntfs and at the bottom it says "If the disk was incorrectly repartitioned see the ntfsresize FAQ." Please help!
I'm guessing you installed Linux after Windows, which meant that grub was installed to the Windows drive and was corrupted when you resized the partition. You could try to repair the Windows installation but it sounds like you hosed it, so you'll probably have to reinstall 7 and then reinstall grub.
Is it possible to try to recover some of the files stored on that partition? I don't care about the system files or anything like that but like my personal files?
