So with Christmas coming up, I'm going to be getting a camera so I can record my "daily derps" series i'm going to be putting on youtube :v: (Just kidding) But really, I have narrowed it down to three possibilities. Here are the specs and camera tests: Toshiba Camileo SX500 10MP Full HD Digital Camcorder Full HD (1920x1080p) Video Recording with High Resolution still images 5x Optical Zoom Lens Low light (4 lux) filming capacity SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot Ultra slim 'Barrel Grip' design Quality test: Remember to click HD! Toshiba Camileo S20 Full HD 1080p Camcorder UK version 1080p, Full HD resolution 5 MP CMOS sensor 4 x digital zoom HDMI digital AV output This one can also do time lapse video and slow motion (by boosting to 60 fps-->playback at 30 or so) Quality test: Remember to click HD! Sanyo VPC-CG100EXBK-B Xacti CG100 Full HD Product Type: Camcorder - 1080i - widescreen Dimensions (WxDxH): 3.7 cm x 8.5 cm x 11 cm Weight: 158 g Colour: Black Media Type: Flash card Supported Flash Memory: SD Memory Card, SDXC Memory Card, SDHC Memory Card Integrated Memory: 50 MB Sensor Resolution: 14.4 Mpix Effective Sensor Resolution: Still: 14.3 Mpix Supported Resolution: 1080i, 720p, 480p, 1080p Shooting Modes: Digital photo mode Lens System: 5 x zoom lens - 6.8 mm - 34 mm - f/3.5-3.7 Focus Adjustment: Automatic, manual Min Focus Range: 50 cm Quality test: Remember to press HD! They are all in the price range of £100-£150 Sanyo is on sale, normally its about £230, and the colour does looks very good! But then I do like the Toshiba's ability to make time lapse video (I'm not sure if the others do) So, which one would you buy? Thanks for the help
I'd say the Sanyo VPC-CG100EXBK-B Xacti CG100 Full HD. I have used the Toshiba Camileo S20 and it's crap, don't even think of buying that one. If I remember right the Sanyo has some fancy slow-motion stuff as well.
Go for the Sanyo.
Thanks for the input. Does anyone know if the Sanyo has time lapse capabilities? That is a very useful and interesting feature
Bump. Sorry I just need a bit of advice. Anyone had the Toshiba Camileo SX500 10MP Full HD Digital Camcorder? Or can anyone suggest a better camera they have/ have tried for about £150-£200?
