How can I change my thread title?

I thought I knew how but it turns out that I don't. I know there is a time frame in which I can change it, though, but I'm not sure how long it is.

Isn't it just edit the first post of your thread and it's like the top box where it would read "How can I change my thread title?"

Maybe I am imagining it but I could've sworn that I've seen others edit their posts within a few minutes of catching a mistake.

you can, or used to be able to double click right next to the thread title and it should allow you to
