You can't bitch. They did warn that the launch would not be smooth.
Stuck on that first mission, bit disappointing
Paid for 1.25m Lost 300k of that because car did not save in garage like its supposed to Is it worth explaining my case to them. Would appreciate the (ingame)money back..
You can't bitch. They did warn that the launch would not be smooth.
It was delayed for 2 weeks after launch and is unplayable a full 36 hours after release. I love GTA and Rockstar but this is honestly embarrassing.
You can't bitch. They did warn that the launch would not be smooth.
You can't bitch. But that's not the reason why I was bitchy until I read that they had 15 million people trying to connect. Making it 5 million more people than the previous largest online game, WoW, ever had. And WoW had 10 years to develop the server capacity to handle that many people, while Rockstar's trying to do it on day one out of the gate. So I can cut Rockstar some slack for these issues
My progress has been partially reset twice now. My property got reverted back like five hours from having two nice cars and the first garage to just having the car I initially got and the game considered me as having not beaten the first PvP mission it send you to do even though I had hours before and had since been doing plenty of others.
Creating a stable, lag-free online game system like R* is trying to do is a huge undertaking. And even saying that would be an understatement. I mean this sort of thing, creating an online FPS that can handle something like 10 million people at launch, has literally never been attempted before. It's not a case of "just buy more servers" because they probably had to rethink FPS netcode entirely, and since you can't beta test a service for 10 mill people you'd be a fool not to expect that the GTA:O launch would have severe issues.
You lost the content you paid for because of issues on their end; I'd demand it back.
Yeah, there is a legitimate complaint to be made there. Which is why they're down now until they can insure this won't be happening.
Might be nice to give some cash to players by way of an apology. I accept that they did admit the launch would be difficult, but given the forecasts for the number of copies GTA V would sell I'm surprised that in the 5 years of development they seem to have been caught unawares. Hey, at least the communication and awareness of the problems has been pretty outstanding so far.
The server issues are a real pain, but when it works it's fucking great. Hang on.
Solo online mode is so much better than offline singleplayer, so at least I'm getting something out of it. Knocking over convenience stores is fun.
Solo multiplayer mode
this sounds so ridiculous
this sounds so ridiculous
Don't knock it, I played solo multiplayer in GTA IV quite a bit :v:
It was delayed for 2 weeks after launch and is unplayable a full 36 hours after release. I love GTA and Rockstar but this is honestly embarrassing.
hopefully by the time the PC version is out it won't have these issues
this sounds so ridiculous
but because of the fact that they locked away features to the online mode only, it isn't as bad imo. i dont play MP games most of the time and I don't know if I'd bother if with gta online if all the features in gta online were in singleplayer (car insurance, more indepth cop system [they track stolen cars so if they see a vehicle that fits the profile you get a star], buying and selling apartments and realestate, content creator etc)
this sounds so ridiculous
*Solo online mode Your stats/cash/objects still get recorded, but you're playing by yourself.
*Solo online mode Your stats/cash/objects still get recorded, but you're playing by yourself.
Now that sounds a lot better
Meanwhile there seems to be a large influx of players in RDR, probably people doing something fun while they wait for the launch to cool down

It would make perfect sense that they would include these features in singleplayer. Furthermore GTA has been a singleplayer game for most of the time. Is it due to the hardware limitations or just because they want to get more cash out of the online because you can pay for more shit than in singleplayer. It's really dumb.
