It can easily surpass 60fps on BF3 ultra - I have a 3570k, and a 670. I get around 80/90 FPS on Ultra

I would advice you to go down to a i5. Games will run just as well on that and you save a shitload of money on a CPU and 2011 mobo.

The best way to futureproof is money in the bank. The difference in price between that i7 and i5 will get you a very good cpu 2 years from now that far surpasses that i7.

Also: Get the 840 PRO ssd. And if you do go with that i7, get 4 sticks of RAM as it supports quad channel memory.

What type of PSU do you have?

ALWAYS make sure that your PSU can handle new components, unless you have a death wish on your hardware.
