So my mum's friend came around to visit today and took her Beagle along. They went out to eat and left me alone in the house watching the dog. Problem is I have 0 experience with dog care so can any Beagle owners can give me advice? Also did I mention I'm allergic to dogs and have asthma at the same time?
Don't get up in its face, since that agitates them. Don't feed it scraps either, or else a bad habit will form. [editline]2nd June 2013[/editline] Also, since you are allergic, you might wanna keep away from it.
Most dogs just fall asleep for a long time if you're away from it (atleast thats what mine keeps doing). Check in on it every 5mins and see if it needs to be walked or something.
If you have a fenced garden where it can't get out from you might want to keep a door open to it, especially if it's hot in the house.
Go solve mysteries in your van.
Leave out some food and water for it, and make sure that it doesn't defecate or urinate inside the house.
Put peanut butter on your penis, and make it lick it off
Dogs are good with routine. Feed them and take them for walks at generally the same time every day. That way they eventually learn and won't expect dinner at 1pm or beg for a walk at 2 in the morning. Be playful though, dogs love that kind of stuff.
Trade it for a cat
