Looks cool, the only thing holding me back is the fact that I don't own a PS3.
It's a shame that David Cage is the one that gets to utilize this tech.
Looks incredible
This guy seems like one of the few really smart game developers (like he actually understands story and atmosphere) but I'm still waiting for him to do something really impressive. Damn just watched this and that shit was terrible. Facial animations were pretty good but that shit with the robot girl was so generic it had to be a parody or some shit.
I think I want to see a game made out of that demo, I liked it.
Why PS3? Why not utilize the upcoming generation if you want the best you can get, along with a good PC port? The textures look outdated.

That was alright. I like how it worked well as a short film in and of itself and wasn't just a tech demo where they go "look at how awesome this looks, this is great tech, blah bah".
Shame its not going to be a game probably. It would have massive potential...
Why PS3? Why not utilize the upcoming generation if you want the best you can get, along with a good PC port? The textures look outdated.
Probably because their publisher is Sony Computer Entertainment? Can't make a game with love and vapor alone.
Guys guys guys, its okay the video is only from "Version 1", they're currently on "Version 3"!!! I really hate when devs use arbitrary bull shit like that to try to hype their shit up. If Version 3 is so much better then they should be demoing that, not something that is a year old.
Why hello there, uncanny valley.
Also, while I didn't count on the heartening action at the end, looks like your usual very basic cyberpunk setting premise. Or maybe more like Bicentennial Man, basic Asimov thoughts on self-aware true AI and the conflicts of human identity.
Why hello there, uncanny valley.
Yeah, showed especially during her emotional scene.
Just kinda hoping the story in their next game won't have so many plot holes and the last 10% of it would be sudden plot twist cliche crap. Fahrenheit was pretty incredible until the last minutes where it just throws everything at you with sci-fi Matrix stuff, and Heavy Rain was really investing and great up until revelation of the Origami Killer, which was kinda ehhhhhh, plus Heavy Rain was also actually pretty linear compared to Farenheit because a lot of the choices were scripted in a way to end all the same, along with pointless Quick Time Events that didn't change anything aside from animations. Still looking forward to this since Quantic Dream had always been a great dev when it comes to some new cinematic tech and fun interactions with choices.
typical david cage and his crack pot cgi shit
To be honest from the description it's just a good motion capture engine. The hardware doing the capturing is more important than anything else.
Where can I buy one of those androids? [editline]8th March 2012[/editline] Can i customize the hair etc?
Why PS3? Why not utilize the upcoming generation if you want the best you can get, along with a good PC port? The textures look outdated.
Sony bro, they want to show people what the PS3 has because, well, they made it. One day they may port it to PC, have hope.

Another game just to look at tits. yes. But.... fox news :yarr: that's what. First alien sex in mass effect.... then omg I see tits that you see everyday at a nude beach....let's ban the game. She's properly the main character obviously, someone buys her, properly this'll lead into a typical anime with guys buying or finding a huge robot doll.
I couldn't really take it seriously after "sexual partner".
Also this feels miles more advanced then their previous tech demo. Does anyone remember that? The character in this demo felt so much more real compared to the woman in the old one.
Bet Kara will rebel against the company or some shit, when they reveal real details.
Oh, well, this is a lot different than I had expected.

I have to say that was extremely well done. Also, for those calling out Uncanny valley, that's becoming less and less of an issue now. It only applied during the early days of animation technology because it was VERY VERY VERY obvious. Now that line is getting blurred.

Also, if anyone is hoping for QD's next game to not be full of plot holes and awkward scenes, don't get your hopes up. This is a French developer we are talking about.
