When clean installing, should I try to delete as much files as I can before?

^ or does the clean install completely delete everything, so nothing is left on my hard drive but the operating system I'm installing?

If you choose to format the hard drive it doesn't matter.

When you have multiple partitions and installing on C:\ for example it doesn't matter what's on D:\ either.
