Same goes for MC, we have these huge updates with all this cool shit, and Vive mods, and its boring.
modding api... please
you know that if they implemented a serious modding api it would inevitably fall short of Forge and probably horribly gimp the code even further, knowing mojang's love for obfuscation it honestly feels like it would cause more problems at this point, forge is the de facto modding thing and to lose or challenge that would be disastrous to a lot of players
if they cared about modding they'd stop obfuscating the jars which is just making it harder for modders to work.
this is to stop piracy Hint: It doesn't
this is to stop piracy Hint: It doesn't
..stopping piracy by obfuscating the source the proof that will never work is the fact modding exists in the first place
this is to stop piracy Hint: It doesn't
How can they care about fucking piracy when half the planet has played it. It's the best selling PC game of all time.
I'd love to have all the elements of Terraria but in 3D. Not sure how well that would work
I'd love to have all the elements of Terraria but in 3D. Not sure how well that would work
I'd imagine the worm type enemies would be a lot less fun. Especially from a first person perspective, you'd never see them coming.
Unfortunately there is really nothing Minecraft can do to make it any worthwhile. The only real reason to play is to load it up with more interesting mods. Other than that you are literally loading up the game and do nothing else except build random garbage. The game itself never had proper planning. It kind of was just a concept of sorts that blew up in popularity. Unfortunately Mojang never took the opportunity to plan out the game early on. It also doesn't help that Microsoft really hasn't done anything on their part to make the game better either.
I'd imagine the worm type enemies would be a lot less fun. Especially from a first person perspective, you'd never see them coming.
You can work way around that by telegraphing their movements via sound or visual effects. With proper care, planning and attention, a 3D Terraria is totally possible.
modding api... please
people still think they're working on one? lol, last i remember hearing about it was in 2011 when it was first announced
