I was just wondering that with my sound card, a Creative Sound Blaster Zx with pretty standard 3.5mm jacks, if it would output the same same as it would some 3.5mm headphones, to a USB headset?
USB headsets employ their own sound devices, usually located in a bulb somewhere along the wire to the headset, or in the sound control box.
You can do some creative sound piping to pipe the sound form one audio device out another audio device, but it's really pointless. The audio is delayed by sometimes up to several seconds and is degraded to the maximum quality of the end sound device that the stream is being piped into.
