Yo, i've got a problem that's driving me insane. So, i've got win 7 64 bit instaled, but for some reason my pc doesn't recognise the gpu card, even when i have instaled the latest nvidia drivers. Please help! :)
have you tried setting the default card to the nvidia one?
What's the GPU? And have you also tried mralexs' suggestion?
Its a geforce 8800 gt, nope, honestly don't have a clue how to try his suggestion. :)
How long have you had the card? Is it old, new, did you have it installed before and it worked fine?
Its old, but not allot used, i had it instaled like a month ago and it worked fine. So i'm clueless what could be the problem.
How exactly do you mean it doesn't recognize it? Like you get no video and you have to use your onboard graphics? In your other thread you said it was working but had green lines through it. Those cards are known for BGA joint failures, it may be dead.
Ye, it was working at times, in video options\advanced it says unknown gpu card and uses some sort of windows standart driver, i also tried instaling new drivers but the instaler says that it can't find the card.
So when you're looking at video options and it says unknown card, is your monitor plugged into the onboard graphics or in the 8800?
Pluged into the 8800.
