You are right.

As far as the mouse goes, it would be pointless to buy a $70 mouse with the amount of buttons that mouse has to offer. It also depends on what you may using it for. If you are looking for MMO mice, go Razer Naga. 10 dollars more, but it has so many more buttons to offer. If you are going FPS, go Logitech with mappable buttons. I personally love the Logitech Wireless Optical. Wireless mouse, good battery life, and I can map the side scroll buttons to middle mouse for quick and easy access to a scope. Makes playing Left 4 Dead 2 with a sniper rifle so much easier, as I don't run the risk of switching weapons when hitting middle mouse.
