I would be mad that people are going to be playing this without playing the last 2 games, but whatever. Not like the game used those decisions or anything.

I can't imagine this being anything other than a disappointment to Wii-U players. Despite its problems, Mass Effect 3 was a MUCH better game if you imported your save and had built connections to the universe and its inhabitants in the previous two games. I've tried a non-import run of ME3 and it doesn't bother to explain ANYTHING, outside of a few brief codex entries. I can easily see newcomers being overwhelmed and/or uninterested in what's going on.

So stupid EA...
Didn't want to release the Mass Effect Trilogy on WiiU because they were unsure if it would sell.
Instead they choose to release the third one only, which no one will buy cause it's the final installment in a trilogy they've never played.
