From what I've tried it, playing seated is more nauseating and disorienting, but playing stood up is super scary, what with vertigo, balance and other stuff like tripping over everything in the world that exists and some things that don't
Well that whole multi-directional treadmill thing looked promising, it'd just be a matter of preventing yourself getting tangled in wires.
So if the Rift is wired then how do I turn 360 degrees, or maintain use of my keyboard?

I dunno, the Omni seems to be really immersive. Plus the Razer Hydra I imagine it'd be amazing.

Minus the fact that it's loud as fuck. Who really wants to come home from a long day of work just to run around again? I think there will be more popular uses for it outside of gaming.

It's going to have the same problem as the Kinect has in the UK. In the UK we have tiny houses and tiny rooms compared to those in the US. So it'll be a case of only moving 5-7ft in certain directions.
