Simply put, i'm curious as how everyone else has their home networks setup and i think it'd be nice to see the different configurations people have come up with. updated with img.

My network cost a lot to setup but it has almost any connection a regular PC will require and most of them are currently in use. I omitted any computers that had no real value to the map to save on space. EDIT: Damn anklyne, nice job.
EDIT: Damn anklyne, nice job.
Microsoft Visio makes it easy to make it sexy looking :smug: Impressive network setup your have though.
:aaa: How many computers do you have?
More than I should. I got a textfile with all the used Static IP's and I'm using at least twenty address locations. I'm greatful that my apartment came with flat-rate electrical in the rent so I can draw all the electricity I want and it's still cheap as hell.
Should I draw the thousands of computers and hundreds of pieces of networking equipment on my network at the moment?
Yes.
Yes.
On second thought, drawing a map of a 20,000-student college's network wouldn't be fun.

I can't make nice drawings like everyone else, so here's a crappy one:
Thank god someone knows how to make a decent network overview.
but he used so many hubs and switches for so few devices, seems like a waste of hardware and electricity...
Still he did make the graph wrong :eng101:. Nice try though.
