I hope you do because if you don't, you deserve to die. So are you a man / women that supports and respects these people's right to: Good education as any other child. Non-discriminated for things they can not help. Daily issues, as they struggle for a good life. Still people are making it harder for them... And some are making wonders for them. _________________________________________ Mental disorders, syndromes and injuries. I would respect them the same way if they didn't have any disabilities.

I respect them as much as anybody else. Some disabled people hate getting special treatment, myself included.

I don't know. I'm always nice to them while they are near-by, but the back of my head tells me that they are fucked up beyond belief. Edit: Now that I think of it, the one disabled person I know, I'm only nice to because her sister is a playboy bunny

Depends; when I first meet them, I'll treat as a normal human, but with the disability factored in. If they turn out to be a dick, I'd treat them appropriately (of course, factoring in the disability if applicable). If, however, they're disabled in some way and overcome it with flying colours, then they get serious respect points. A good example of this is the blind guy on my course; he's easily one of the best coders in the year. Being able to write and debug code without being able to see it, while also wrestling with haphazard disability support in Windows is an impressive feat.

Yes. According to the government, I myself have a disability. The Swedish government needs to understand that I am a [I][B]Human [/B][/I]and [I][B]NOT [/B][/I]Aspergers Syndrome. Seriously, it's not even much of a disability!

My friend has Asperger. I don't even see he has. This guy is awesome.

I'm legally blind in one eye with way better vision in the other. I qualify for a whole bunch of shit including a cane. I have a big box with stuff for people with bad vision. Let's just hope I can drive. :sigh: I also have a high frequency hearing loss from the chemotherapy I got when I had liver cancer sometime after I was born. It's not as serious as my vision problem is though. Shit, forgot the poll question. I respect people with disabilities. But because I am in the public school system I shamefully laugh at those who are mentally challenged. Some things they do are funny. I'm going to hell.

I give mutual respect to everyone, disabled or not.

They already have as many perks as it is, you don't need to treat them godnly, but I'm not saying walk up to them and say "Fuck you, you have a bad hip and can't lift anything anymore and can't work", but don't treat hem like they are almightly. Just treat them like a normal person.

Lol I stole this one handicap kids glasses once. He was saying "Give back my glasses!" But it sounded like "Give sack in my asses"

I find them annoying but I'm respectful to everyone who is respectful to me. They don't do any harm to me so why be a dick to them? Besides, it's not their fault they have disabilities, if it's special needs then it's their mom's fault.
