New Mid range Geforce graphics card expected before the end of the year: Core/Shader/Mem : 675/1350/1800MHz TDP:150W Price: $230 http://www.expreview.com/10914.html
$230 seems a bit much.
I'm kinda disappointed by how expensive Nvidia is. I understand it must be hard and all building graphics cards, but still. :frown:

Or a majorly shitty one. Anyways this is the first non GF100 card Nvidia will send out this gen. I would like to see what happens.

Come on Nvidia, get your shit together. I prefer ATI and all, but I don't want a monopoly either.
Come on Nvidia, get your shit together. I prefer ATI and all, but I don't want a monopoly either.
lol?
Come on Nvidia, get your shit together. I prefer ATI and all, but I don't want a monopoly either.
This is stupid stop it.
Non GF100?
Yeah, the 460 has a GF104/102 GPU (dont remember which) which is a different chip than the normal chip you see in the 470/480/465.
What? 470, 480 and 465 uses the same chip? What's the difference then?
What? 470, 480 and 465 uses the same chip? What's the difference then?
clock speed. shader cores too.
What? 470, 480 and 465 uses the same chip? What's the difference then?
More ROP units, CUDA Cores, more memory bandwidth, higher texture filtering rate, TDP, etc. Basically theyre built on the same technology just more components. Wonder how the GF104 will perform since creating an affordable card with GF100 seems rather impossible (as in un-flashed 465 competes with 5830 with 5850's price) because manufacturing costs for the components is too high to create cheap card. Im expecting the 460 to compete with 5770 with (hopefully) lower price. NVidia better focus on the TDP too as it could really help with noise and stop Atidiots from complaining about the heat.
Then the 460 would be about the same performance as the 260?
Jesus Christ you're really hypocritical.
You must have understood me wrong then :> If you are referring to the "atidiots" well that was really meant as joke referring to the endless comments of Fermi requiring its own power plant etc. And yes I did comment a lot about the heat but the point was that if there were two cards that were almost identical in peformance would you rather take the hotter/louder/ than the other? (not that the heat itself is a problem but less is better) Anyways better stop this now, if youve got anything to say please send me a pm :P Whats the latest release date estimate btw?

Because when I build my computers I always go with price/performance and havent used a nvidia card since my 9600gt sli setup.

Just what, two posts ago you were still complaining about the heat output and power requirements of the cards. [editline]06:09PM[/editline] And people don't buy the GTX 460s and GTX 465s. The only NVIDIA cards I'm seeing people buy right now are the GTX 470s, because they are very good cards for the money. [editline]06:09PM[/editline] @pringles
Come on Nvidia, get your shit together. Do nvidia have a equivilant to eyefinity yet?
Do nvidia have a equivilant to eyefinity yet?
Yes, it have existed for quite a while now. I don't remember the name of it, however. [editline]05:34PM[/editline] Was it 3D Vision Surround?

The GTX 260 Core 216 is better (aside from Crysis, and I think 1 other game in benchmarks I've seen.)
Odellus... you really should stop seeking out fights in every thread. the guy gave his explanation and asked you to PM. why are you at war everywhere?
Gonna be interesting to see where the card will fit (and at what price tag) since it's most likely more powerful than the 5770 but if it rises far above the 5770 it will eventually be close to the 465 yet there's a 150$ cap between the 5770 and the 465.

If we don't argue with them, who will? They'll go on spreading lies and making people buy the wrong components.
