Aren't these referral things usually massive scams?
That's pretty sad. It's a powerful, and awesome mobile console. Just the fact that Sony locked the thing down. If they allowed homebrew, and had a free SDK it'd probably have more sales than Nintendo's consoles.

It was powerful enough to do a lot of stuff emulation wise. If they allowed people to experiment with it, you'd probably have a ton of indie devs working on it.
Yeah, I got one for Christmas. It's a wonderful device, just that nothing is being made for it. It's pretty incredible to have a netflix movie being played in HD anywhere there is internet service, as well as it being overall slick.
don't forget they made you have to buy a Memcard and a Memcard was at least $20 each ( that worked in 2004 for PSP but that was before the whole IPOD/Phone deal )
Too expensive, not enough games out or coming out.

Then again, couldn't they just put a really shitty security gate like they do on most of their consoles so it was easy to hack?
I think the main problem here is that nobody is making anything for it. Its best games are all ports/remakes/cross-platform games. I bought one entirely for a Japan-exclusive game, but now that game is getting a PS3 version with more content as the developers scramble to recoup their losses from pouring too much budget into the underperforming Vita version... If you think the Vita scene is bad in the west, just take a look at the figures from its homeland. The PSP is continuing to outsell it by a lot in Japan and most developers are opting for the PSP rather than Vita when choosing a platform for their new games. PSP is still getting big-name titles while Vita is getting almost nothing. It really is a shame, and honestly Sony only have themselves to blame.
I've said this before, love my Vita to death, probably one of my favorite pieces of tech I have: but until Sony gets their act together and actually decides to start pushing Vita, it's never going to amount to anything. What Nintendo did with the WiiU this week: showing that they actually have plans for their system? That's what Sony needs to do to instill some confidence in potential customers. Here's hoping they get their act together for E3. Sadly, I think the Playstation 4 is going to steal the show and outshine the Vita (Not that it'd take much effort).
