Some games are freezing temporarily on a frequent time

Like the title of this thread said, I have this annoying issue where they freeze for 1-3 seconds in mid-game, and in frequent time (every 3-5 minutes). Strangely enough, it only happens in some games like TF2, Killing Floor (when a new type of zed spawns) and Counter-Strike: Source. I never got this issue on single-player games for the moment.

I tried to disable my firewall (MSE) but it doesn't change anything to this problem.

My system is an ASUS N53SV laptop (i5 Sandy Bridge - GT540M 2GB - 4Go RAM - 750GB 5400rpm HDD)

Open the game in a window and check the task manager to see if the cpu usage goes up when the game freezes

Tried so. The processor doesn't go above 40% on usage during the whole test, and doesn't seem to really go up when the game freezes.

When you say it doesn't happen on single player games, if you play something like counter strike with bots offline, does it still happen?
