Yes, yes, yes, yes.. YES.
After an ending like that from the first one, they have to make a sequel.
Well, at least it's half-confirmed. Liked LoU but don't think it needs a sequel. ND has lots of other promising titles they should work on IMO.
Please no.
I'd rather they didn't. TLOU is one of my favorite games, but it stands on it's own. I'd rather ND focus on a new IP.

This is both company financial and fan pleasing with how much popularity its gained over the past few months it has been out. I wonder how successful it would be should Naughty Dog release ports for the Xbox and or Pc of the first and second one (should they make number 2).
Why not?
I feel bad as they did end TLOU off by [sp]lying to ellie[/sp] and there is still a ton of storyline to be added into.
Its better to be left off as it is. Leaving things to the imagination isn't a bad thing. The ending should be left an enigma, showing what happened after ruins the point.
And I'd rather see it be a solid one off than see it turned into a rehashed franchise like every other successful game nowadays.

I guess I was just getting excited to play Ellie again. But if they do make a sequel I'll probably still play the shit out of it.
Please make Jak and Daxter 4.
A city building game based on it could be cool.
Have to deal with supplies and things like bandits and cordiceps.
Thinking outside the box.
in my opinion, an acceptable sequel would have to be completely distanced from the original game, like starring new characters, set 50 years into the future, new narrative and thematic focus, etc
but at that point it would probably be simpler to just make a new IP or revisit an old franchise
please have open city environment with rideable vehicles like flying jet bikes, and a darker tone with one of the characters having a goatee
and just call it Last II

I think they said already that if they did a sequel it would be in the setting, but not about the same characters. Their story is pretty much done.
Would insta-buy!
Then there comes that awkward moment when a game with "last" in its title gets a sequel.

I love the movie title The Last Exorcism Part 2
I vote yes. Either make it take place at least 10 years after TLoU, or make it about different characters in a different place. But I feel the first option would work best.

The Last of Them
You play as a fungal zombie looking after his family in a world overrun with the greatest monster of all... MAN.
Either make a new IP or focus their resources on Uncharted 4.
I love The Last of Us, but nothing will be gained by making a sequel.

Instead of a sequel, have a prequel, The First of Them, focusing on the outbreak.
Or the First of Us, and set it a few millennia earlier with thrilling third person stone age action.
I can't say no, but if they do, my god they really have to step up a giant-ass ladder to top the first one
If they did anything like this, I would like to see a prequel. Like, a game that explains how Joel ended up where he did between the prologue and the first level of the game.

A little late, but even if they did make a sequel they said they wouldn't continue the story of Joel/Ellie, and it would be a new one within the same universe. Sorry to burst your bubble

I think they've set up a decent universe to still use, where different spin off titles (or rather, titles taking place with different perspectives) wouldn't detract too much from the original content. Just like how The Walking Dead game by Telltale can stand on its own with characters almost completely separated from the main cast featured in the comic/show, the same could be done with The Last of Us.
Obviously I wouldn't want the series to turn into something like Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed, with games coming out every year with middling amounts of content, but there's definitely A LOT they could do with the license. I enjoyed TLOU far more than any of the Uncharted games, or many other series, and I think Naughty Dog would be responsible enough to not make a terribly made cash in after all these years.
I just want ND to make a fuckin cartoony game again with next gen tech.
God damn it I don't want them to fuck up TLOU's ending.
i would like to see a direct sequel, i think they could do it
Naughty Dog need a new outlet. I don't think they should remake Last of Us, and I'm wary of a J&D sequel simply because if it doesn't live up to the hype it would be a colossal disappointment.
