[Yes I know I fucked up the title]
So, I just some money and want to upgrade my system.
Wich is better:
Getting another 4890 so I can Xfire them
or
Waiting a little bit and then buy a 5870
Am I going to get a noticeable increase in fps buying a 5870 over a 4890 Xfire?
The only problem doing Xfire would be this:
(damn me for getting a micro-atx mobo.... next time I buy some parts I have to read better the specs dammit, I didn't notice that it was a micro-atx board when I bought it)
notice how there is just half a millimeter between my actual card and the second PCI slot....

BTW Specs:
i7 920
6gb ddr3 1800
4890 vapor-x
DFI Lanparty micro-atx
HAF 922
if you go for another 4890 you'll probably need to use watercooling. Get a 5870 or a 5850.
I think the 2x 4890s might be better but I'm not sure it'd even be possible with the other that close
2x 4890 is better but you'd have BIG issues..
get the 5870

or a better mobo
with the difference between the two cards you could easily get a better MoBo
that's probably the best option
What do you thing if I buy a 4890 with a stock cooler... it's less voluminous than the Vapor-X one...at least a 1-2cm... and then put that stock cooled card on Top and the Vapor-X on the bottom, so I'd have some space between them..
That should be enough space to do a Xfire, or not?
And can you suggest me a valid ATX mobo?
As brands I prefer DFI, they're beasts in performance but a bit pricy.... (my actual m-ATX mobo is DFI)
What about ASUS?
Or some other brands?
Which CPU do you have?
i7 920 @ 3GHz

Thanks, but I have to buy from somewhere that ships to Italy...
Just give me a newegg link, I can get any card later from http://www.tecnocomputer.it
The USD to € conversion is not a problem, that site has got decent prices
That mobo is cool man, aren't there any cheaper ones?
Since it's out of stock at the site where i'm buying it I checked the price on newegg...

the aim is to get it within the price difference of a 4890 and 5870, otherwise he might as well get the 5870
A good i7 mobo for £85?

No sense it telling him to get a £285 mobo AND another 4890 when he can just get a 5870.
What about the idea to get a 4890 with stock cooler.... it's less voluminous than the Vapor-X one...at least a 1-2cm... and then put that stock cooled card on Top and the Vapor-X on the bottom, so I'd have some space between them..

Yeeah but with the average price of a good i7 mobo (£120 - 250) just get a 5870.

Too tight of a fit and you can't be 100% sure.
Looks like I'm gonna lend me the 4890 of my friend and try it out....
I'll tell you tomorrow
