alright, here's all the information i can give you, it was a NES sidescrolling action game (possibly martial arts or ninja in nature), the main character was purple, or blue, and it wasn't "Ninja Gaiden" , or "Fist of the north star" , nor any of the "Double Dragon" series, tho i did have fist of the north star its not the the game i am thinking of, the only thing i can remember more than that is the stages, which personally are hard to explain but one was indoors, brown with lots of pillars, and had black doors that i think enemies came out of
i had this game when i was like 4, played and got pretty far into it, but i never was able to remember the name

not any of those so far... i might be wrong about the enemies coming out of the doors tho, the most i can tell you about the main character was that it was a longer body sprite, not anything squareish, more rectangular, also, you guys are great for helping me by taking guesses on the very vague description i gave you, it honestly narrows down the field
no, none of those, sorry guys.... also, with my research, shadow warriors is an alternative name to ninja gaiden, i remember playing that game at that age, but all the level layouts are different than the game im remembering.... the only thing i can really say about the general layout of the level i can remember, is that its kinda like the second stage of Fist Of The North Star, but the pillars, stairs, and middle floor/ceiling was all much thinner, the background was brown, and the floors and pillars, might have been a different color of brown...

not Bad Dudes, i have that one, not flying warriors, tho that one looks fun, not legend of kage, not 8 eyes, and im absolutely positive it was for NES as it was the only console i had at the time, [sp]tho i did have a computer, with some sega classics on a pc disc, but i remember very specifically playing this game with a nes controller[/sp] but if you can find a game that matches my vague description on another console from the era, then go right ahead
