Internet Difficulties, nothing except IE can connect

Since yesterday i've been having problem with my internet for some unknown reason. Anyways the problem is that my browsers (except IE wich im on now, Eww...) dont work. Chrome says that it cant load the page i want to load and Firefox just shows blank pages. Steam, skype and not even my firewall and antivirus cant connect to the internet. I've been googling around for hours now and i can't find anything that works. Anyone had the same problem and care to share?

Have you done a virus/malware scan? If so what did you use?

i scanned with avast and it found nothing, i have reinstalled all my firewalls and anti virus systems. I also tryed others but to no avail and i have also tryed to change proxy settings, not even that would work.

Checked the proxy settings

I had this problem once, restarting my router fixed the problem.

the ting is i dont have a router, my internet goes thru a switcher thats directly connected to the internet. i do not know if its restartable or have a firewall.

I restarted the switcher and nothing happened, still only IE working.

Use Malwarebytes or MSE. Avast lets a lot through from what I've seen.

What have you seen?
Was it not AVG?
