Hi FP. I was wondering if this is possible. Our school deletes any exe, bat, ini (in essence any executable file in pretty much every form) however it doesn't delete programs that are loaded in the U3 environment. I was wondering if there is a way to put U3 on a non-Cruzer USB or if it works on other san-disk USBs aside from the black plastic ones with the orange LED activity light.
And no, incase you haven't noticed by now this is not a guide.
It would also probably work if the computer thought the USB was a CD - any way to do that?

Can't.
Just buy a new one, flash drives are super cheap these days.

$15 for 4 gigs.

Also, can't you try burning a some kind of launcher to the cd and run applications through that?
Try putting cmd.exe and make it autorun - then use the ancient art of dos to run the applications (or make shortcut .bats to ease the pain)
why the hell would you want that program on a usb? oh okay I see but still i would hide them in an image or something, that is what I did in school
Ugh, I fucking deleted that shit off all of my Cruzers instantly, it's so fucking annoying.
I don't think you can imitate U3 on a non-Cruzer flash drive, but I'm not sure.
why not U2? U2 makes great music, vertigo, new years day etc etc
just buy a cruzer. sandisk is better imo anyway.
and its faster than my friends USB and we both have USB 2.0
I'm kind of turned off buying a new flash drive. I like my 8GB (which my mum got ripped off for but w/e). Can the stock standard windows un-compressor open/run images? I think they also delete any form of compression because you could install winrar from a rar and then install other zipped programs from inside wrar.
