I don't know whether to rate winner or dumb.

Wait, is it called "DmC: Devil May Cry". Reminds me of ATM Machine
I might get this on PC instead of PS3 now.
I might get this on PC instead of PS3 now.
You have my condolences.
You have my condolences.
I don't see what's so bad about it. They just announced that the port's coming out less than 2 weeks after the console version, its not gonna have a shit framerate cap, and it doesn't require a supercomputer to run it.
At the very least the PC version won't have the same framerate issues that the console version had. Won't fix the unlikeable new Dante though.
Is that seriously the title?
At the very least the PC version won't have the same framerate issues that the console version had. Won't fix the unlikeable new Dante though.
I was really skeptical of the new Dante as well, but regardless, its more Devil May Cry.
I played the demo for this and thought it was absolutely mediocre. :(
It's not skepticism, it's a fact that the new Dante sucks. Compare this Dante: With this Dante:

Every time people talk about the new Dante, they either mention the Secret Ingredient cutscene, or when the guy tells him he's not on the list for the one club, then he punches him in the face and writes "fuck you" on the list. You can't judge a character purely on a cutscene or two, because old Dante had some pretty dickish moments too.
Here's a more in-depth analysis of why the new Dante sucks:

Stop jumping to conclusions and wait for the game to come out before saying he's a bad character.
Oooh a DmC thread. That means I finally get to post this on FP [thumb]https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/Reasons%20to%20hate%20DmC.jpg?w=1f8f0faa[/thumb]

Considering the console demo has a 30 fps cap and the bad record that outsourced ports have in the gaming industry, it could very well end up terrible and without the things you seem to be optimistic for. After all, Activision promised things for Modern Warfare 3's PC port, and they didn't follow through on a lot of those 'promises'. But this is just a cynic's thoughts on the matter, I don't care much for this new 'DmC' anyway. :v:

New Dante is a teen, he's unlikable because he's still a smartass but a smartass teen is never likeable. EVER. 2. His "devil trigger" turns him into dmc 3 Dante because dmc3 Dante is when he actually got his real devil trigger, this Dante still hasn't reached his full potential. 3. Dante from 1, 2, 3, and 4 were all refined because Dante knew what he wanted to do. DMC Dante (as I already mentioned) is still a teen. He's trying to be an independent (shown when he doesn't really mention his mother, also living in a trailer) 4. I don't get how he acts has any indication of what his childhood was like. It could easily be a coping mechanism (just like bullies are usually the ones that were bullied before) Some things I will mention. I don't prefer the new Dante over the old Dante mostly because as he said old Dante had this flair about him. The highly doubt the original DMCs will be continued because of what happens in 2 (2 being the worst one of the 4 but it was also the last one of the series chronologically. In order it would go DMC (non-canon but age wise it would), DMC3, DMC1, DMC4, DMC2 and the anime is somewhere between 1 and 4 I think.) Also I don't like that the villain of DMC is Mundus but that's a different issue.
Is that seriously the title?
Hey with all the changes that the devs made, some people could forget what they're playing.

Nero was a teen and as stubborn as he was he was still likable 2.His Devil Trigger is obviously pandering and assuming this game somehow gets a sequel I'm pretty sure they aren't going to explore him inheriting his demon side seeing as that's the entire point of the stance system 3.Once again he's not a teen and from what we've seen so far Donte he sure as hell knows what he's doing. 4. Can't really provide a counter-argument to this At this point Capcom pretty much state DMC 2 is non-canon (hell Viewtiful Joe for PS2 is probably more canon at this point) and since he is meant to be 27 he's older than DMC3 Dante.
god the console demo was such garbage it couldn't even stay at 30 frames. so many frame rate drops also, you can beat the Futurama Slurm Queen ripoff boss using only parry and one attack. And get a SSS ranking. Sad.

I can't find anything about it.
Tameem stated in an interview that Donte is a decade and a half younger than him and he was 43 when the interview was done.
I don't care much for the complete destruction of Dante's character as I do for the complete destruction of DMC's gameplay. This game is Heavenly Sword. They carried nothing over from how DMC used to play, and instead just made a sequel to Heavenly Sword, using Devil May Cry as nothing but a skin for a selling point. Here, have a decent fair analysis of it that'll explain it better than I can.
I've known of this title for a while now (a month or so) and I still can't fucking get over it. It's SO bad. Just... Devil May Cry:Devil May cry
Still not as bad of a name as Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
At least MGR:R will be a good game.
I actually really enjoyed the demo, though I never even finished the first DMC so i can't really have an opinion on how it's different.
I've played every game in the series and loved most of them. I still think DmC's going to be a good game. I don't see why people say it plays differently from Devil May Cry, it feels like DMC4 but with Dante and Nero's abilities combined to me.

That explains every major gameplay difference. Having played the demo, devil may cry, and heavenly sword. This game is heavenly sword. Now Heavenly Sword was fun, but don't call it Devil May Cry. Computer controlled lock on is personally what I think makes this the worst of the series minus maybe 2. Without making it player controlled, the game becomes something I really cringe at in action games like this, a button masher. It doesn't matter who you prioritize because the game will prioritize them for you. If the game is made so that you don't need to know what you're pressing your attack buttons at, then your enemies aren't proper enemies. Also as said in the video, it cuts the amount of attacks you have to a third of what they could be.
