I wonder, does this mean we can play it offline?
Well, I'd take it LAN support means offline.
Or it could be like IW's idea of LAN support for MW2, you need to be online with Steam, and you can join your friends via Steam and not like the traditional methods of connecting via LAN. Although I don't play DOTA 2 anymore, I hope this isn't the case.
I wonder, does this mean we can play it offline?
LAN as in local internet, but not offline
LAN as in local internet, but not offline
Yeah, that was why I asked, just because you have LAN support doesn't mean you allow offline play.
Fuck all of that, the really important thing is this: "Item purchases can be made at the secret shop if the courier is at that location without selecting the courier" Like, YES, ALL OF THE YES. I hate having to fumble around and spend precious seconds selecting the courier in the bottom right and then buying the item instead of just buying it flat out. It hputs you out and if you're in a situation that requires all of your attention the courier can end up just standing there because you don't have the time to select it, and then you can find yourself in a position where a teammate has taken your courier because it was just standing there after all.
LAN as in local internet, but not offline
So it's still hosted locally, and not on any of Valve's servers?
Fountain hooking removed, uninstalling.
