I need of a gaming laptop for University, £700+ budget.

So, I'm going to University later this year hopefully and I'm going to need a laptop for when I do.

It'd preferably be able to play modern games on decent settings, with a good bit of processor power for compiling.

My current budget is £700 but I'm saving up more and will hopefully have a £1000 budget by the end of it. Before you tell me to build a desktop, trust me, I would if I could. However I need it for portability and because I'm sure my dorm won't be that big.

Anyone have any ideas?
