Post your favourite TV series. Space: Above and Beyond (1995-1996) I started watching this show having no idea what to expect (All I knew was space ship boom boom). What I got is something I'd consider the best sci-fi show I've seen. It was axed after 1 24 episode series, which was a real shame. Basically, think Battlestar Galactica had a baby with Starship Troopers with elements of Full Metal Jacket. In terms of military technology, chain of command and characters, it's the most authentic thing as far as sci-fi goes. Plot: In 2063, a newly established Earth colony is attacked by an unknown enemy force. The USMC and other Earth Forces are then tied down in a brutal war with a seemingly fearless and technologically superior enemy. The acting is brilliant as are the scenarios - There's both ground and space battles, with CGI that was considered pioneering for its time (And it isn't overused). The main characters serve as both Space Aviatiors and ground troops. Apparently the cost of production per episode was $1.5m - $2m. If you liked Battlestar Galactica, Starship Troopers or any other military sci-fi I urge you to give this a watch. It's a series that broke new ground and received bugger all recognition for it. If you just post a title, anyone who hasn't seen it won't have a clue what you're on about.

Probably Sherlock and Firefly for me It's a generic choice but I haven't really seen that many tv shows, only trying to catch up to all the things I missed now
Scrubs. No other show I have watched has managed to combine absurdist humour and serious character drama as well as Scrubs did.

Started watching this on Netflix because I hoped it'd be as good as Breaking Bad or Mad Men. It definitely is. Plot: Hell on Wheels is an American Western television series created and produced by Joe and Tony Gayton. Set in 1865 in Season One and Two, and 1867 in Season Three, the series centers on the settlement that accompanied the construction of First Transcontinental Railroad, referred to as "Hell on Wheels" by the Union Pacific company men, surveyors, support workers, laborers, prostitutes, mercenaries, and others who make the mobile encampment their home. It stars Anson Mount as Cullen Bohannon, a former Confederate soldier who worked as a foreman on the railroad while attempting to track down the Union soldiers who murdered his wife and young son. He later works on becoming the chief engineer.

Twin Peaks: A well loved high school student called Laura Palmer is murdered. An FBI agent is sent in to investigate. Show also revolves around the people of that town called Twin Peaks. Rome: The show follows two Roman soldiers, Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo, from Caesar's war with Pompey all the way to Octavian's rise to power. Game of Thrones: About the wars and politics of a fantasy world with a brutal 'realistic' tone. Band of Brothers: Follows the 101st airborne's actions in WW2. Generation Kill: A reporter's experiences when he was embedded with the Marines during the Iraq War. Mad Men: Takes place in the 60s and focuses on a fictional advertising company and particularly, one of its employees, Don Draper. X-Files: Two agents, one believer in aliens and the supernatural, and the other skeptical, solve a bunch of cases that deal with the supernatural. Boardwalk Empire: Takes place in the 20s, specifically during the prohibition and it focuses on the various gangs, fictional and non-fictional that thrived during that era. The Simpsons (seasons 3 to 10 although 2 is a particular favorite of mine): Yellow Family gets into some shit.
Lost Spartacus Game of Thrones Breaking Bad Arthur
Weeds, Breaking bad, Lost
That '70s Show. It's a show about, well, the seventies. It focuses on a group of Wisconsin teenagers and their lives, which mostly involves smoking pot and doing senseless and irresponsible, but very fun looking things. There are lots of references to seventies culture and many great guest stars that were famous in the decade, like Mary Tyler Moore and Brooke Shields. All the main characters are lovable for one reason or another, and the cast is absolutely wonderful. It's a show that everyone needs to watch.
