A while back, HDMI was working fine on my 42" plasma. I had my DVD player plugged into it, and it worked fine. Then I decided to plug my computer into it (and this computer's GPU, as I discovered later, was half dead). It worked for a while, then I rebooted the computer. No video. I plug it back into the DVD player. No video.
I plug my new GPU into it. No video. It works with another 32" TV, however, with the same cable!
I have no idea what's going on. Please to be explaining all this shit my TV's doing.
Could just be the screens resolution is to high for you card, could be a bad plug o the tv. I have had cards work on 32" but on a 42" there was no post because the screens resolution was to high for the card to handle. Some cards will work on 42", but the resolution must be a specific size.

It worked a while back on this very TV. At 1080p.
Well check to make sure the ends are connected, and theres no bad plugs( Loose, pins busted, ect), If not try a different card on your tv. If it still fails then your tv has a problem..
