mat_picmip forcing to 1 (Geting poor textures) in Portal 2

I know one of the bug in the game is the mat_picmip forcing to 1 in result is poor texture. If I set it to 0, it changes to 1 when I load a map. Any way to fix it? Do I have to wait for a update, is anyone having this problem?
set your config to read-only?
Nope, didn't work
Make an autoexec.cfg in your config folder, put
[code]mat_picmip -10[/code]
That command will execute every time you load a map. The game might be lowering mat_picmip because your video memory is running low though.

I think I know how to fix it (thanks to steam forums). I set the launch option "+mat_picmip -10"
I'm going to try tomorrow to get fix, I hopes it works.
