Decent Powerful Heatsink Cooler for an i7 2600K CPU and Mobo?

Pretty much what it says on the tin. For the particular build I'm planning to put together soon, I'm wanting to use a Cooler Master V8 for the cooling of the i7 CPU. After looking at alternatives and reading the reviews on this particular piece of hardware, I think that it would be adequate as a method of cooling. However, cautious as I am, I'm wanting a second opinion regarding cooling the miniature furnaces that i7 CPUs tend to become, and what a heatsink/fan is able to do for one.
Basically, I'm wondering if there's a better cooling method for Sandy Bridge stuff out there than what I have.
Get a Thermalright heatsink.

This one is really nice.
The Cooler Master is all looks.
I have the True Copper version of this, which they only made 1000 of. It is twice the weight at 4 1/2 pounds, which is like 1.8 kilograms.
