Woah. This is pretty cool, the current XBL games (Pinball FX2 and some other game) are actually pretty fun.
And XBL integration in Win8 is flawless.
Seems like windows are trying to convert pc gaming into their own regulated platform much like xbox live, which Gabe has said will be disastrous and I agree.
This is actually neat as heck. Hope I don't need to re-buy them though :v:.

John Carmack also said there was nothing of value in Windows 8.
He's right too.

Lol, no. Because Microsoft.
if i can play perfect dark hd and eventually dead rising im installing this on a separate partition
I have Doom on XBL. Now I can play Doom while I play Doom.
saw halo 4 in the picture, got excited. scrolled down, then cried.
FFS microsoft I don't want xbox shit on my pc.
Too bad there's no Trials Evolution in that list. I really wanted to try it after seeing Robbaz' vids.
Still, it's not encouraging me to upgrade my 7. Steam is all I need.
If you could put in your Xbox discs into your PC and play like that, I'd so buy Windows 8.
Reason #3497 why I´m sticking with 7
I am mad at max payne 3 being named "max payne"
"hey remember minecraft, now you can play the Xbox version, on pc!"

Architecture is different, which is why you can't
Trials is pretty sweet.
We all saw what a complete and utter bastard child GFWL was.
This is different though. It's not that ugly tacked on super weird thing. Plus it's not all things on XBLA - the games you'll find in the winstore will probably be smaller and better for touchscreen. Armed! comes to mind.

I know, new and optional features are the worst.

That's why i'm sticking with 7 until support ends (next OS i'll hop to after this hard-drive runs outta Steam); either that or try to learn how to use Linux.
Knowing Microsoft and their desires to tighten their grip on PC gaming, they'd probably make it so that Windows 8 views Steam as malware, or just outright block it, though I dunno if that'd even be legal.
I like my Xbox. I like playing games on my Xbox. I don't want my PC to become a Xbox.

Pretty sure that would be libel.
also im willing to bet if any aaa games make it on, it will be subcription multiplayer
i dont want to have to pay a subscription to play something thats already free to do on everything else.
If Microsoft keeps games on the Xbox: "OMG THEY GAVE UP ON THE PC!!!"
If they add games to the PC: "OMG XBOX CONSOLIZED BULLSHIT"
welcome to PC gaming, you can bring your entitlement inside with you.

Yeah, microsoft would definitely illegally block a huge factor of sales for games
that's a good way to ruin any chance of decent sales completely

You'd see no complaining if they announced a proper Age of Empires sequel. Or Impossible Creatures. Or Flight Simulator. Or Freelancer. Or Rise of Nations.
Architecture is different, which is why you can't
Indeed. Well, I can dream.
But seriously, Solitare is an Xbox game now. Holy shit I can't wait to get the achievements on that.
ensemble studios is dead, they literally couldn't make a true age of empires sequel
after the catastrophe Halo Wars was, yes.
holy shit a battalion remake?
Isn't windows 8 pretty much Windows 7 but with Metro replacing the start menu?
